Thank you for your useful remarks.
I would like to think in the prevailing destructive nature of radicalism and its featurelessness, and think that radical projects, political ones at least, are necessarily totalitarian and destructive, which might even become more malignantly destructive when they acquires a vulagar party- or politcal group-oriented fanatism (Is this a radical stance on my part?). However, the logician and mathematician Gödel, decades ago, had demonstrated in his Incompleteness Theorem the impossibility of totalitarianism in science and knowledge (please refer to my comment in: http://www.ahewar.org/debat/show.art.asp?aid=168605
I agree that the developmental history in Iraq, on social and political levels, should have moved away from radicalism and towards pluralism. There is no problem here, I feel, on the descriptive level of the phenomenon at issue.
However, as a psychiatrist and sexologist, I see the root cause, or at least as one of the main causes, for this phenomenon of radicalism and totalitarianism lies in the ascend
