You seem to declare that totalities are dead by virtue of their intellectual closeness, refusal to engage into an exercise of self-interrogation, and hence they are a part of the death machinery. But death is a part of the reality; it is the reality that declares its presence through its absence. As Freud indicates, we are all governed, psychologically speaking, by the life and death instincts. The totalities belong to the realm of the death instinct. This instinct, expressing itself, for example, through totalities and closures, cannot be declared dead by virtue of its being labeled as such, namely, we cannot declare the ‘death’ of death, since by doing so we declare simultaneously that there is no life ending with death. Put differently, to negate death we negate life.
The other confusion is that you replace the actual reality with the wished-for reality. By declaring totalities as dead (reducing the irreducible reality to words), we blind ourselves to their reality and its deadness. Instead we should try our best to identify the destructive and malignant nature of all totaliti
