الثلاثية المقدّسة لفائز الحداد : القصيدة الثالثة – كأنّي أقبِّلكِ في الصلاة As If I Am Kissing You in a Prayer
ترجمة للإنجليزية د. إنعام الهاشمي ( استبرق وحُلو/ حرير و ذهب)
توطئة: هذه هي القصيدة الثالثة في الثلاثية المقدسة لفائز الحداد، وهي تلي الترجمة للقصيدتين الأولى فيها "يوسُف" والثانية "المجدليَّة" التين نشرتا من قبل..
القَصِيدَةُ الثالثةُ التي تدخُلُ الثلاثِيَّةَ المقدّسة هي، " كأني أقبلك في الصلاة" نافستها قصيدة أخرى وهي "آخر المريمات" ولكنها كانت لها الغلبة. في ديوان "مدان في مدن" ظهر جزء من القصيدة تحت عنوان منفصل ولكني أخذت الترجمة عن الأصل. و هنا اقتطف لقارئ العربية منها مطلعها:
أشرقي بالشهد على شفتي
لأبسمل الصباح، بحرفك الشمسي
آية الندى.. فاتحة وجهك الأوحد
وقبلة النحل.. رحيقك المبين
أقيمي الصلآة..
لأعقد الحج الى شفتيك
موسم الحجيج..
مابين عيدين.. بشفتين
وزمزم ماء العناق
لنصلّي بلا وضوء
فالقبلة..

Fayez Al-Haddad’s Divine Trilogy
The Third Poem: " ِAs If I Am Kissing You in a Prayer"
Foreword:
In selecting the third poem in Fayez Al-Haddad’s Divine Trilogy, I was torn between two poems, but the decision finally settled on " As If I Am Kissing you in a Prayer.”
In this poem, the holiness centers on the lips of the beloved as the poet makes the lips of the beloved the divine place to which the lover would hold his pilgrimage; .In addition to using the prayer as a symbol of divinity combined with the kiss as it stands out in the title, The poet uses other words of holiness like “alhajeej” which means the pilgrimage to Mecca , one of the five pillars of the Islamic faith, but he turns Mecca to be the beloved lips. To avoid being accused of heresy, he points out to her lips in a metaphoric way as he points out specifically that the nectar of the beloved lips is the Mecca of the bees, and he would hold his pilgrimage to her lips as bees do.
Also he mentions ablution, an Islamic act of purification that precedes prayers, along with the water of Zamzam, which is considered as a holy water; it is believed. in the Islamic faith, to be the water of a well that came out miraculously and granted by God, thousands of years ago, when Ishmael, the infant son of Abraham, was thirsty and kept crying for water and kicking the ground, water gushed out.; However, the poet equates the purity of the saliva of the beloved to that of Zamzam, and in that it would provide ablution to the divine kiss. He also refers to the two celebration “ Two Eids” and the “mihrab,” all of which have religious references; then, in conclusion, he declares the beloved the last of the gods/goddesses;.
In All of his references to the sacred symbols, which may suggest its religious meanings and practices, the poets uses metaphor, so that his references would not offend the religious symbols. The nectar of beloved lips, as I mentioned earlier, is the "Mecca " of the bees; the hajj to her lips is his divine visit to her lips to sip their nectar as bees do; and although he used the symbol of the “Two Eids” , major Islamic celebrations, he did not name them by their religious names, bur rather, he makes the beloved lips to be the Two Eids or celebrations. Thus there is no room for the possibility of attaching charge of heresy or atheism to his writings. In the phrase declaring her to be “the last of the gods/goddesses,” the use of plurality in (gods) spared the meaning from being mixed with the divine meaning of God as defined in monotheistic religions; on the other hand, polytheism that defines religions or beliefs in civilizations, which preceded the monotheistic religions, are not recognized by these religions, so there is no offence in declaring the beloved one of these gods or goddesses.
Finally, with this poem, “As If I Were Kissng You in a Prayer” I come to the last poem and the end of my translation of Fayez Al-Haddad’s Divine Trilogy,

Rise with your honey on my lips
so that I may say the morning grace,
with your sunny letters;
The dew verse
shall be the opening verse
of your one-and-only glory face;
and the Mecca of the bees
shall be
your revealed nectar.
Hold the prayers
for me to hold my holey visit to your lips;
It’s the season for pilgrimage
between two celebrations,
in two lips and
The Zamzam (1) of the water of embrace;
Let’s pray without ablution,
as the kiss gets its ablution in the spittle.
With your two concerns, the ego and the fancy,
with the eyes of the mass wine,
and the passion of the question,
take the hoe of confusion
in search of the dew eyelid
for the ambassador of the dream,
for the possible smile,
for your cooing in the poetic picture,
and for you.
I was torn between two poets, you and you;
Take, to own, the deed to my earth in a flower,
with your mysteries pouring down
over my kingdoms;
You climbed up the bosom of The Kingdom
with the radiance of a body worn out by the vines,
and gleams of a nipple, dividing me between you and you.
Do you spare me the salt of the night,
Oh, peach of the night?
I’ve become your sensible, I swear to God!
as am waiting for your absentee’s prayers
and watching
some glimmer of your adventurous distances
to give me warmth;
Do you insist on your bosom not attending my prayer,
like a mihrab(2) that ignores the set times ..
in a miser caller?!
Oh no!
There is no good in a mihrab not plowed by prayers.
You have an army of poems
equipped to invade me
and eyes watching for a quick intervention;
and I fear you
like the wrath of a goblet reaching its last drop!
But, everything invites me to you,
and everything takes me to your scepter;
So, take poetry a crown of love,
and the heavens as poems;
I don’t sense you a wave shadow of another "Sajah".(3)
Oh you, whose name is poetry,
your voice paints me a cloud of color;
Even in a satire, it crafts the letters in gold;
so be as green as your eyes,
Oh, my rebellious capitol!
There is no difference between the two of you,
Baghdad and you;
Everything, seals me with you
in the eyes of God, and calls on me
in the lightning of immersion,
in the haven of the endeavor,
and in the nectar of your pomegranate flower.
Oh, Yes!
Everything roars in the fragments of the bosom,
and I stand gauntly, pursuing your passion,
the distant and rare,
as the clouds of the mouth snow me down
and drip me in the cup of the lips;
I shall rain with my confusing winds
and reach Paradise with fire fingers,
for you are in the endeavor and ready.
So, set free your doves to invade me,
and lit your spark in my heart endocardial,
I will open a continent of passion upon you;
I have no more patience, to qualify me akin to Ayuob,
to suffer you at the deadly moment !!
Oh you, the timid!
fearing the hail of passion
pouring down intoxication upon you,
just press the spark button ,
all the false ice walls between us
shall break down
in the heat of the voracity of the night,
and the body shall thrive;
It’s time that you choose a sanctuary for us,
so that I may wear you
the last of the goddesses!

The Well of Zamzam: a well located within the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca. According to Islamic belief, it was a miraculously-generated source of water from God, which began thousands of years ago when Abraham s infant son Ishmael was thirsty and kept crying for water and was kicking at the ground when water gushed out.
Mihrab: Prayer sanctuary
Sajah bint al-Harith: she was Arab Christian From Bani Tamim tribe:During the apostasy movement (al Riddah) after the death of Prophet Muhammad, (PBUH), Sajah declared herself a prophetess. Before claiming to be a prophetess, Sajah had a reputation as a soothsayer. Later she married another claimer of prophethood, Musaylimah bin Ḥabib and accepted his self declared prophethood, After his defeat and death in the battle of Al-Yamama, she returned to Islam.

حائرا كنتُ بين شاعرتين أنت ِ وأنتِ
تملّكي حجة ترابي زهرة
بأسرارك الماطرة..

لقد تعرشت بأثداء الملكوت
بضياء جسد أتعبته الكروم..
وبرق حلمة ، تشتتني بينكِ.. وبينكِ
أتبخلين عليّ بملح الليل يا خوخة الليل
صرت عاقلك.. واللللللله
أنتظر صلاتك الغائب.. وأرقب ُ
بعض بصيص مسافاتك المغامرة. . تدفئني
أتصرين .. أن لا يؤم نهدك صلاتي
كمحراب يتجاهل المواقيت..
في الهاتف البخيل؟!
ألا.. لا خير بمحراب لا تحرثه الصلوات
فلك جيش من الشعر مؤهل لغزوي
وأعين ترقـّب للتدخل السريع
وأنا، أخافك..
كغضب ألكاس في قطرته الأخيرة
ولكن.. كل شيء يدعوني إليك ِ
وكل شيء يأخذني لصولجانك
خذي الشعر تاج حب، والجنان قصائد
لن أهاجسك ظلا، لموج "سجاح" أخرى
يا من اسمك شعر..
وصوتك يرسمني غمامة لون
حتى في هجوي.. يصوغ الحرف ذهبا؟!
فاخضري كعينيك.. يا عاصمتي العاصية
ولا فرق.. بينكما، أنت وبغداد
كل شيء، يمهرني بك
بعيون الله ويهاتفني
ببرق الغمر، بحمى المحاولة
برضابك الجلنار..
أجل..
كل شيء، يزأر بشظى النهدين
وناحلا.. أتقرى وجدك الغارب بالشوارد
وغيمات الثغر تمطرني ثلجا
فتفصّدني على جام الشفتين
سأمطرها فاغرا.. برياحي المربكة
وأبلغ الفردوس بأصابع النار
لأنك ِ في المحاولة.. وجهزت ِ
أطلقي يمامك ِ لغزوي
وأوقدي شرارة الشغاف
سأنفتح عليك قارة حب
فما بات من صبر ٍ يؤهلني كأيوب
وأعانيك في اللحظة القاتلة..!!
أيتها الخائفة..
من وابل الوجد الماطر بالخمرة
مجرد أن تضغطي زر القدح
ستذوب مستعارات الثلج مابيننا
بسعير الناهمات ليلا
ويزدهر الجسد..
حان أن تختاري محرابا لنا.
