As we approach the seasonal slowdown that normally comes at this time of year, demand is steady. The market is balanced with neither buyers nor sellers holding an upper hand. Low inventory means that a good home will sell for a higher price, but appraisals are restraining prices in many areas from rising with demand.On the horizon, the price of new construction will continue to rise due to the increasing cost of materials, labor and lot development.
