I don not wish to Do Mr. Aziz Mohamed injustice and my brief remarks here are only based on yours.
It seems that Mr. Aziz’s personality attributes like lack of self-confidence and insecurity you refer to, which were possibly related to his familial situations and inadequate education, had influenced his political views later when he assumed important leading roles, particularly the one of the Secretary of the Iraqi Communist Party (ICP). His arguable feelings of inferiority, accompanied by severely limited educational achievement, had been translated into his turning the party later into just an appendage of the Communist Party of the old Soviet Union, a policy which was disguised, in political terms, as a sign of loyalty on the part of the ICP. But this policy, most importantly, was a sign of glorification and of secular worship of the Soviet Communist Party. That policy, a reflection of defective psychology to a certain extent, was continued later during his position as the Secretary when he agreed to the formation of the so-called Progressive and National Front, in which th
