The Iraqi communist Party, I believe, has done some of the things you suggest, erecting, for example, a statue of Salam Adel at the entrance to its main centre. I think that monuments and statues erected to commemorate and rehabilitate important Iraqi figures is a good thing, However, what Iraq rather needs now is an effective and forceful stance and work against corruption, poverty, unemployment, suppression of human rights, particularly of women etc. We could better commemorate and rehabilitate these figures now by doing this work, and this work could or should be done by communists and noncommunists alike.
