Imam Ali Bin Abi Talib laments the status of the Islamic Nation

Mohammad A. Yousef

In the shadow of the crescent moon,
where the whispers of time
echo through the hearts of men,
Imam Ali Bin Abi Talib stands,
a figure carved from the essence of courage,
his spirit entwined with the fabric of faith.

O, how the winds of change have blown,
sweeping away the unity,
once a tapestry woven with threads of brotherhood,
now frayed at the edges,
where discord blooms like wildflowers,
in the cracks of a once-hallowed ground.

He gazes upon the faces,
the weary eyes of a fractured nation,
their hopes scattered like leaves
in the autumn of despair,
the cries of the oppressed
drowning in the silence of indifference.

“Where is the spirit of justice?” he laments,
as the sun dips below the horizon,
casting shadows long and deep,
“Where are the voices of the righteous,
the hearts that beat with the pulse of truth,
the hands that once clasped in solidarity?”

Each step he takes
resounds with the weight of history,
every breath a reminder
of battles fought not with swords,
but with the fervor of conviction,
the will to uplift the fallen,
to guide the lost back to the light.

He remembers the days of glory,
when faith was a river,
flowing freely through the valleys of the soul,
when the call to prayer
was a symphony of unity,
echoing through the streets,
binding hearts in a sacred embrace.

Yet now, the echoes fade,
replaced by the clamor of greed,
the thirst for power,
a poison that seeps into the foundations,
turning brothers into adversaries,
and ideals into mere shadows
of what they once aspired to be.

“Return to the essence,” he implores,
“to the teachings that ignited our spirits,
to the love that transcends boundaries,
to the compassion that knows no end.
For in the heart of Islam lies a truth,
a beacon that can light our path anew.”

He raises his voice,
not in anger, but in a plea,
for awakening, for remembrance,
for the resurrection of a dream
that once burned bright,
the vision of a nation united,
a tapestry rich with diversity,
woven with threads of respect and honor.

And as the stars begin to shimmer,
he knows the journey is long,
but the seeds of hope can still be sown,
in the fertile ground of the willing,
who dare to rise from the ashes,
to reclaim the legacy of faith,
to heal the wounds that time has wrought.

In the quiet of the night,
Imam Ali stands resolute,
a guardian of the truth,
his heart a lantern in the dark,
illuminating the path ahead,
calling forth a generation
to embrace the principles of love,
to unite once more,
and to honor the sacred bond
that ties them to each other,
and to the Divine.
For in the end,
it is not the lament of a loss
that will define their fate,
but the courage to rise,
to build anew,
and to declare,
with hearts ablaze,
that they are one,
under the vast expanse of the sky,
a nation reborn in faith,
bound by love,
and guided by the light of truth.
