The national Bureau for defending land and resisting settlements ( nbprs ) stated in its latest weekly report that Israeli Occupation Government has recently announced that the construction process of settlement and the legalization of settlement outposts in the Palestinian Territory need the approval of the Civil Administration, the Ministry of Settlement, and the Settlement Department Authority at the Ministry of Negev and Galilee. Accordingly, the occupation government has put forward the Qalandia settlement project on the Qalandia Airport’s land, north of occupied Jerusalem, where extremist Knesset members from the parties toured the area to establish a large settlement there.
Therefore, PM of the occupation government, Netanyahu will hold a meeting soon to discuss the project, while members of Knesset in the "Likud" party intend to push it with all force, and other members from the ruling coalition parties named it ‘Seven Hills’. In the past ten years, the Israeli governments have conducted deliberations about it located in an area between the suburb of Al-Ram and the Shuafat Refugee Camp, north of Jerusalem.
The occupation municipality has previously decided to recommend before the Regional Planning Committee to put forward a settlement project in the place with an area of 1265 dunums, and it includes the construction of 9,000 thousand settlement units, in addition to commercial buildings and factories. A project prepared by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to flood the West Bank with underground tunnels in order to solve what he calls the problem of geographical contiguity between Palestinian cities on the one hand, and to solve the problem of securely linking settlements to Israel on the other hand.
In attractive development, the Commander of the West Bank Division at the Israeli Army, Avi Ballut distributed a book to the officers in a meeting titled ‘Ours in the Land Registry: Secrets of Land Saviors from Our Father Ibrahim to Youth Settlement’, knowing that youth settlement has become a name given by settlers to random settlement outposts that were established on private Palestinian lands without an official government decision. Ballut wrote on the book a dedication to the officers in which he considered that it would help them understand the issue of the status of lands in the West Bank.
Author of the book, Lior Zeberg, works in the purchase of land in the West Bank, and he is a well-known person in the settlements, he identifies himself as providing advice to initiators, associations, and local authorities, as well as to heirs who found old property documents.
In 2018, Ballout was appointed as a military advisor to the then PM. In the dedication, Ballut wrote: ‘Dear leaders, in order to carry out the defense mission in Judea and Samaria, there is a need to establish many cooperation measures, to be professionals and to possess information in many fields in addition to the military profession.
In settlement activities, and according to the Israeli military order issued and signed by the head of the so-called Civil Administration, the Occupation Authorities intend to seize the northern and western region of the shores of the Dead Sea, which they call Tsuk ‘Wadi Darag’ according to the Israeli name - under the pretext of classified as a nature reserve.
