Three people were killed and three others were injured when a man opened fire in front of the Kurdish Cultural Complex in the heart of Paris, in the tenth municipality of the French capital. Despite claims in publications and government statements that the perpetrator was only "against the refugees, not especially against the Kurdish," during the course of the investigation, the criminal admitted that he despised the Kurd too much, and there were claims that the perpetrator was a Turk of Balkan ancestry who had previously lived in France:

_ Erdogan s threats against western Kurdistan increased, and Turkish police arrested dozens of cadres and leaders of the People s Democratic Party (HDP) the day before the incident, all of which linked the incident to an attempt to undermine the Kurdish-French friendship.
